House Republicans sure are a classy bunch, aren't they?

A "classy bunch?" (0.00 / 0)
Yes, "classy" in the Forward Montana sense of being "classy" at the Mansfield-Metcalf Dinner.

Yeah (0.00 / 0)
Because the Mansfield-Metcalf Dinner is the same thing as the floor of The United States House of Representatives.

no argument there... (0.00 / 0)
...I think maybe a few folks at that table should be a little red-faced. Tho' to be fair I understand there were plenty of loud tables.

Nice try (0.00 / 0)
I'm sure you witnessed it all Rich...  Despite my biased opinion, I unequivocally deny that the "FMT table" was any different than any other within sight or earshot.

Look at the pictures of the night that are all over the web: you see elected officials, campaign staff, leaders of organizations, and even some of the bloggers that have written about the subject, talking and socializing.  Should they be red faced as well?

Any lefty bloggers perpetuating this myth are simply feeding the GOP trolls who are among some of the most classless people I've ever encountered.  I understand the desire to navel-gaze or whatnot, but this topic has turned into a real credibility eroder.

Thank you Rich (0.00 / 0)
Since Rich has afforded me absolute credible status for my opinions about behavior, allow me to pronounce quite clearly that the behavior of the House Republicans in question was absolutely assholish.  I'm certain now that Rich would agree.

The Forward Montana (0.00 / 0)
was no more raucous than any other table.  I sat in the stands, with a bullseye view of the table.  The pic I have at 4&20, of Denver Henderson, was the Forward Montana table during the Hillary speech - and it shows a respectful table.  Given most of them folks are Obama people, and the rumors that you continue to spread, I think most would expect a very different picture.

Not to be a pain, but none of you were there. (0.00 / 0)
At least as far as I know.  And frankly, I think the whole Forward Montana table thing was a) exaggerated in the first place and b) has only grown in the telling.

The only reason the Forward Montana table stood out, was because most of us know several people sitting there.  Of course we are going to look at them from time to time and envy the table over stadium seating.  I had quite a few friends down there on the floor, along with quite a few familiar faces.  I was looking all around down there all night.

And when Wulgar! brought it up, he was just being his normal cantankerous self.  A direct quote is:

he folks in the Forward Montana crowd were as bad as any.
(Emphasis mine).

As bad as any, no better, no worse.  It was a party and a dinner with speeches, a bar, and people moving around (inches from your face in the bleacher section).

It is certainly not the House floor, which is a work place.  When was the last time you were booed on your job?

I'd also add... (4.00 / 1)
...that typically the folks I know that boo do so because the speaker is lying or pandering or misprepresenting themselves. (See "Burns, Conrad" at "Hamilton debate.") Apparently House Republicans boo when someone tells the truth or expresses their belief.
