Look at the pictures of the night that are all over the web: you see elected officials, campaign staff, leaders of organizations, and even some of the bloggers that have written about the subject, talking and socializing. Should they be red faced as well?
Any lefty bloggers perpetuating this myth are simply feeding the GOP trolls who are among some of the most classless people I've ever encountered. I understand the desire to navel-gaze or whatnot, but this topic has turned into a real credibility eroder.
The only reason the Forward Montana table stood out, was because most of us know several people sitting there. Of course we are going to look at them from time to time and envy the table over stadium seating. I had quite a few friends down there on the floor, along with quite a few familiar faces. I was looking all around down there all night.
And when Wulgar! brought it up, he was just being his normal cantankerous self. A direct quote is:
he folks in the Forward Montana crowd were as bad as any.
As bad as any, no better, no worse. It was a party and a dinner with speeches, a bar, and people moving around (inches from your face in the bleacher section).
It is certainly not the House floor, which is a work place. When was the last time you were booed on your job?
