Rasmussen Polls General Election Matchups in Montana

I had this great idea to write a diary about this yesterday, but I was a little too busy.  And I know you're busier than me so, well done.

This is what we already knew.  At least I already knew it, or thought I did.  People either think Hillary is great or they really don't like her, and while I agree that there has been a dearth of misogynistic attacks against her in the press, mostly from FOX News pundits, I don't think her being a woman is the main reason for these poll numbers.

Once again, I must say, Hillary is brilliant on policy but she doesn't seem to be able to appeal to a wide variety of voters.  Whenever Obama speaks he uses the pronoun 'we', whenever she speaks it's 'I' and 'me'.  I keep hearing this argument that Obama is all talk from the Hillary camp, but his talk is inclusive.  Her talk isn't.  It's a grassroots-movement-organizing type thing, which is something I believe in.  It empowers people and makes them less cynical.  That's what Obama's 'talk' is all about and it works.  

Anna said recently that not everyone is inspired.  That's true, but a lot of people are, and I think they're beginning to form a majority.  By recent numbers I'd say 5 out every 7 Democrats in Missoula are more inspired by Obama.  Not bad if you ask me.

I've posted this before but what the hell...

Montana is incredibly slanted. We have, in my mind, three top tier offices: House, Senate, and Governor. Of those three we've elected two women.

We have 150 legislators, and 22 other statewide or largely elected offices. As of 2006 we had 40 women in those offices. Keep in mind that 37 of those are legislators and the other 3 are statewide. I'm just throwing it out there.
