Clinton Wins Pennsylvania; Campaigns Will Keep Rolling

by: Matt Singer

Tue Apr 22, 2008 at 18:31:45 PM MST

Well, I had been holding out the slim possibility that Clinton would only narrowly win PA or that Obama would win it outright -- either possibility may have meant a Clinton withdrawal from the campaign.

Instead, Clinton wins and likely by a healthy margin. Any chance that this race was gonna slow down is now gone. Instead, the field staff in PA are likely to be pulled out and reassigned to other efforts -- meaning we're about to see an influx of even more people working these campaigns.

And then there were 7 8 (states left).

Here's the remaining calendar:

In terms of pledged (0.00 / 0)
delegates there is no way Clinton can pass Obama.

She should have dropped out months ago but her ego is never going to let that happen....too bad, I think a lot of people have lost any respect they might have had for her.

This says it all.... (1.00 / 2)
We in Denmark cannot figure out why you are even bothering to hold an election.

On one side, you have a bitch who is a lawyer, married to a lawyer . . . and

A lawyer who is married to a bitch who is a lawyer.

On the other side, you have a war hero married to a good looking woman with big tits who owns a beer distributorship.

Is there a contest here?"

I didn't know Denmark was so classy (0.00 / 0)

Nebraska already had their caucus.  Am I completely imagining this?

Nebraska was Feb 9th. (0.00 / 0)

Looks like about an 8% win for Sen. Clinton and a net pick-up of 8-11 delegates. (0.00 / 0)
I think Montana is going to be the state to put Obama over the 2024 delegate mark.

How cool would that be?

Obama can't close the deal (0.00 / 0)
I'm loving it.

Most of the readers here seem to support Barack Hussein Obama, but I don't think either one of them will have the nomination secured by the convention, doing the math.

And if it gets to the convention, and Barack Hussein Obama has 50.5% of the Dem popular vote, and Hillary has 49.5%, it'll come down to who can influence the superdelegates more, the Clinton or the Obama camp, and I'm not betting against the Clintons pulling it off.

2012 Clinton Campaign In High Gear (0.00 / 0)
HRC seems serious about 2012 and is implementing a successful slash and burn strategy.  She'll have 4 years to work on her negatives, while Obama will confront more of the same in the general with a boat already full of water.  If character assassination didn't produce desired results, politicians would try something else. Perhaps his best way out: offer HRC the VP job to secure the "bubba" vote. Kennedy/Johnson all over again.

Et tu, Bubba? (0.00 / 0)
I don't think so. We already have had 8 years of Cheney-esque back office subterfuge. The Clintons as VP would just be, so... unmanageable.

And give up those tv ratings? (0.00 / 0)
Unmanageable, yes.  Probably the highest-rated reality show ever ...a titillating distraction from endless war, recession, bankruptcies, food and gas prices etc. Americans would eat it up.
