With Congressman Rehberg's latest flip-flop - Cuba - grabbing headlines, we were wondering what folks considered their favorite.

| Montana Democrats :: NEW POLL: What's your favorite Rehberg flip-flop? |
Is it GI Denny...or more like Ken doll?
Rehberg has quite a history on a new GI Bill for the men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. He was against in 2007, and then co-sponsored it in April, voted against it in May, and then for it in June.
ID please
In 2005 Rehberg said that he "supported the idea" of Real ID and that it was "something that we should have been doing all along." His office even said that Montanans "didn't understand it." After seeing our state legislature unanimously stand up to his Washington buddies, Rehberg had a staffer email a reporter saying that he's now "also against it."
'Extremist'
Congressman Rehberg called extension and improvement of the S-CHIP program "extremist political ideology." After later finding out how popular the program was in Montana (in Sidney, Mont. he told folks that his new found support was poll-based) he switched his tune.
Viva la Flip-Flop
After voting for years against the trade embargo with Cuba-a position popular with Montana's number one industry, production agriculture-Rehberg switched his views 180° and began strongly supporting the embargo in 2004. His switch also coincided with at least $11,500 in donations to his campaign from a pro-embargo PAC.
Oldie-but a goodie
In 1987, as a member of the State House of Representatives, Rehberg proposed abolishing the office of Lieutenant Governor. In 1992 he ran for that office. |
