Brian Schweitzer Goes Up on TV

by: Matt Singer

Mon Aug 04, 2008 at 08:29:27 AM MST

Brian Schweitzer goes up on air with an ad to remind people of his ranching roots in the state:

Pretty fascinating visuals and messaging. It's pretty reminiscent of Tester's second ad:

Thoughts?

Can he be far behind? (0.00 / 0)
Can Oily Roy be far behind?  I can just see his commercial now.  Oily Roy, riding an oil rig, points at an industry lobbyist on the ground who has a big wad of cash in his and tells steve daines, "that one"!  Steve then wrestles the lobbyist to the ground a la Schweitzer style, and takes the cash.  Roy then walks off with stevey saying, "I learned all I know bout government from the oil industry".

He's an inspiration to us all.

I love Schweitzer!! (0.00 / 0)
The last line in the ad was funny.

This ad was very good and definitely showed Schweitzer as authentic and not pretentious.  Also demonstrated his subtle sense of humor.

"Jag, don't step in that" (0.00 / 0)
Self-deprecating humor regarding the substance of the ad?

Who produced the commercial? (0.00 / 0)
Was it a local production company or some out-of-state firm?  This is the same question I'll ask of every candidate, no matter which party, who claims they're for "jobs for Montanans."
