It took twenty-six hours to get from Denver. That's right. Twenty six. Basically we zig-zagged across the West, visiting some of the region's finest cultural landmarks, crawling, crawling to Denver.
I crashed at Matt's the night before our trip and had coffee and cold pizza for breakfast before renting the gold mini-van for the trip. Off we went, picking up John Bacino of Foward Montana, Bob Struckman of New West, and jhwygirl of the b'birds. Anyhow...the plan...and the passengers...
That's right. Twin Falls. We were meeting a bus at Twin Falls. And not just any bus, but the Oregon Bus Project's bus. They were giving us a ride...and, yes, you'll notice, if you look on a map of the United States, we did kind of go backwards...and...well, I'm getting ahead of myself.
Anyhow, you'll remember that I'm moving to Pennsylvania, right after the Convention. I'm flying to PA from Denver. So this trip means more than just your average way-too-long bus trip to a political convention. So when we approached the border of Montana...
Well...I had to kiss the d*mn state before I left.
So...
I did.
Anyhow. We made it Twin Falls. Only the bus was going to be late. Three hours late. Spirits were flying.
And then we settled down in the Twins Falls' IHOP to wait for the d*mn bus...
