Yowza. Rep. Joel Boniek (R-Livingston) got some notice earlier this month for comparing our President to Hitler in an interview with the L.A. Times (story I found was on the WSJ website):Boniek at one point equated Obama with Hitler, Mao and Stalin, saying each loved his country in his fashion, with disasterous consequences. "He's ruining the country I love," Boniek said of Obama. "He doesn't know what freedom is." Well, that's pretty offensive, but it gets worse. The Livingston Enterprise in an article I can't find online gets Boniek to clarify his views:"Hitler should be remembered for more than being a mass murderer," Boniek said last week.
"The point I'm trying to make" is that no matter what Obama is doing, "it shouldn't impugn his love for his country," Boniek said of Obama. Get that, Boniek referenced Hitler, Mao, and Stalin to emphasize Obama's patriotism, not his mass murdering tendencies.
