Filing for divorce

Here's a Fax I sent Max's Office today.  I just can't take the abuse anymore.

Dear Sen. Baucus,

I just want to let you know how disappointed I was with your vote yesterday to refuse to entertain either of the public option amendments that came before your committee.  I've been a supporter, donor, and advocate on your behalf for many, many years.  But yesterday you had a chance to do something important for small businessmen like me, and you let me down.  My BC/BS premium went up 20% this year, over $1,200, and I'm healthy.  I have no realistic option here in Lewistown.  So, next time you need a ride from the airport, call someone else.  Signs put up around the county?  Good luck with that. A contribution?  Ask Blue Cross.  I'm done.  My next vote will go to a real Democrat.  You had a chance to make history.  Instead, you'll go down in history as someone who could have made a difference, and chose not to.  That's if history remembers you at all.  I should have known it would end up like this.

Profoundly disappointed,

Jeff

Max missed his Mansfield Moment (0.00 / 0)
It was a profound disappointment to get such a clear view of Max's moral compass. It's badly askew. On this issue, he looks like a chump. By comparison, Jay Rockefeller - despite his pedigree, looks like the champion of the people.

Think we can get Jay to move to Montana?

LUV IT!, but I was thinking 'bout some........ (0.00 / 0)
ALIMONY!  Look, Max Fauckus has taken BAZILLIONS from the insurance industry and I think it's high time that Fauckus SHARES some of that with us!  You see, Maxi even SAID, and I quote, "I don't care about the money.  It means  nothing to me".  WELL then, Mini, since you don't CARE about the money, HOW BOUT SOME ALIMONY, YOU CHEESE BALL?!  Were done with you, so now, you need to do the RIGHT thing for once in your pathetic career.  Will put your ill-gotten gains to good use buying Montanans some HEALTH CARE!

Awesome letter (0.00 / 0)
Jeff, you don't know me but I hope you don't mind if I borrowed some of your language for my own fax to the Senator. I couldn't have said it any more succinctly, though I've tried repeatedly.

Another plan for the "insurance" companies.... (0.00 / 0)
How about training a group of people to infiltrate the claims department, where, once in place, they approve every claim that comes in front of them?

All the best

i have a better idea for a letter from all of us.... (0.00 / 0)
dear blue cross/or whoever your health insurer is

i have decided to opt out of health care insurance due to your lobbying efforts to destroy health care reform. i have instructed my employer to no longer pay the premiums to you for my insurance and am organizing my friends to do the same.

sincerely, your former payee.

of course, if you pay private insurance on your own or through a group plan you can cancel it yourself. just be sure to do it in a letter and keep a copy, otherwise they can say they cancelled you instead of the opposite.

i predict they could hold out 6 months at most if half the country did this. we could bring them to their knees and drive them into bankruptcy. then simply demand single payer from congress. no ifs, buts or maybes anymore and no more worrying about what some version of public option they dredge will cover or who. this would get their attention. without our money, the leeches are simply empty shells.
