Ed's Kingdom for a horse slaughterhouse

Ed Butcher: He's Back and Better than Ever

You just can't make this stuff up.

Ed Butcher so badly wants to slaughter horses. He's teaming up with Two Rivers Authority in Hardin to attract investors from China to build a horse slaughter facility.

In case you've forgotten, Two Rivers is the outfit that built the prison in Hardin and then could not find any prisoners.

None.

Not even Guantanamo detainees.

Well, OK, there was Mike Hilton (and his America's Private Police Force) who blew into town with a couple of luxury SUV's and hired a couple of folks to occupy the place before the promised investments and prisoners never materialized.

Now, Representative Ed Butcher, the sponsor of the bill which puts Montana in a position of allowing one on these damned things to be built, has the Two Rivers folks dreaming big time.

Sorry, Hardin, Ed and his bunch do not intend to use the prison facility, but there is an ethanol facility that was built and also never utilized (Is there something in the water?) that could be transformed into a major equine killing floor.

This is all being done under the guise of economic development. The area is desperate for any activity that creates jobs.

If Ed succeeds in moving this idea forward, Montana will be the scourge of the nation. There are no other such facilities in the United States anywhere.

If he fails, Hardin and Montana will be a laughing stock again for a couple of weeks.

YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! (0.00 / 0)
Eddie the Butcher?  Sometimes in the course of Montana history, it seems that it's a bad author making up the names of the cast of characters.  Hence, the moron who wants to bring a horse slaughter plant to Montana is named Eddie the Butcher!

And when the Buffalo Nations folks were protesting the unwarranted killing of bison down at W. Yellowstone, the onery sherriff down there doing his best to impede their efforts was one  Bill Slaughter!

The great woman who was instrumental in protecting our Rocky Mountain Front was a lady who gloried in our flora, and our fauna I might add, Gloria Flora!

I'm sure there's more, like the time in Dillon at a public meeting a state guy became so enraged at comments that he got up and was ready to start a fight right then and there.  The guy was appropriately named Putz!

It's incredible I tell you.  The only way it could be more appropriate would be if Eddie's last name were Moron!

What a concept! (0.00 / 0)
Is Eddie married to Frau Blücher?

Not sure, but I'd lay ya money...... (0.00 / 0)
that Eddie's middle name could be Schwanzstuker!....or maybe not.

He's still trying to attract these Chinese investors?  He met with them about 6 mo.s ago, too.

In my mind, I picture these Chinese businessmen meeting with Ed Butcher - in his whiny twiny annoying voice - and the rest of his crew, laughing at the joke that he is.

And what an embarrassment for Montana.  I mean, think about it - they're meeting with Ed Butcher and crew.  Just the image we Montanan's want the rest of the world to picture us as NOT.

The notion that a horse slaughterhouse would save Hardin is as daft as the one that cost the city its reputation and credit, the hugely overpriced, ill-designed, illegal and unfillable jail.

The Two Rivers Authority is run by a bunch of imbeciles. Al Peterson, possibly the dumbest school superintendent in America, is likely the worst.

A slaughterhouse would stink to high heaven, so much so that no business run by competent persons would co-locate there. It would also assure a permanent presence by PETA protesters and serve as a fundraising gimmick for those who are unable to understand that animals may need protections from the worst of our instincts, but the are most assuredly not people.

But I don't think they're going to do that.

Montana:  Horse Slaughter Capitol of the World!  Butcher would love that, no doubt.

The things we aspire too....
