Rep. Scott Boggio Ticketed for His Car's Offense!

by: Matt Singer

Tue Mar 27, 2007 at 19:32:03 PM MST

Woe is Scott Boggio.

First he gets in deep doo doo for having a few drinks with dinner (what's up with that -- did we reinstate prohibition when I was passed out?).

Now, he's being ticketed by the Helena cops because his "car didn't have up-to-date license plates." Got that? It was his car that broke the law, not him. I think this paragraph will clarify it:

He said he thought the tags had been renewed in April 2006, but it turns out they weren't.
See -- it all happened in the passive voice.

So, look here, Mr. Helena Cops -- stop making Scott Boggio your punching bag. It's not his fault.

Gee whiz.... (1.00 / 1)
Scott, the only thing I see left for you to do is join the democrat party.  Then you can go on the see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil list with William Jefferson.

sweet deal? (0.00 / 0)
I thought loss of a driver's license was automatic with a DUI.  He did plead guilty, didn't he?

Devils Advocate (0.00 / 0)
Seems to be ok for Obama to "forget" $500.00 worth of parking tickets and suddenyl remember them whn he files for President but its not ok for Boggio to "forget" to license his vehicle.

How much is a single parking ticket at Harvard anyway? $5.00?

Did Obama blame his parking tickets on his car? (0.00 / 0)
The problem isn't expired tags. I've been pulled over for expired tags before. I plead nolo contendre to the offense of failing to renew my registration. I didn't say that I thought the tags had been renewed -- I admitted that I had not renewed them.

But yeah, I am a bit flummoxed as to why you do care so much about the $500 in parking tickets. Obviously, it'd be better if Obama had $500 in uncollected awards for community service, but, honestly, they're parking tickets.

I don't really give a shit about the expired tags except that Boggio refuses to admit personal responsibility on any of this stuff. Oh, and it is funny.

Fetish? (0.00 / 0)
I am not really sure that I understand your fetish with Obama's parking tickets. If this is the worst you have then I think I'll vote for the guy.

this tired smear (0.00 / 0)
Obama paid $375 for 17 unpaid tickets that included fines.  You're incorrectly implying that Obama must've accumulated 100 unpaid tickets, where in reality, he received half of those tickets during one 8-day finals week period.  And didn't he admit that it was his mistake instead of trying blame it on someone or something else?

You don't understand, Nick. (0.00 / 0)
They're parking tickets. 95% of convicted murderers had outstanding parking tickets at the time of their arrest.

You might be on to something there Matt (0.00 / 0)
We all know that Obama's middle name leaves a little something to be desired, and that his last name rhymes with a name that's a little dubious these days -- but I wonder if the Somerville News's enterprising investigative reporters have anything left to find out if Saddam Hussein or Osama have any unpaid parking tickets floating around?

Tactical Error (0.00 / 0)
It was a tactical error to pay them. His handlers knew they were going be an issue. THey should have left it alone.

It really doesnt matter. He wont carry 56% of the vote in this country.

Our only hope is he and Hilary flame out early.
