Stream Access: Still Front and Center

Montana Republicans are still trying to fight bridge access. Why? Good question. Bridge access is popular.

Kendall Van Dyk's op-ed lays out the issue pretty well. Humorously, a few of the commenters try to go after enviros who "lock up" public lands. Here's the key thing -- the GOP wants to lock you out; enviros might want to keep motor vehicles out of pristine wilderness and they don't want to drill everywhere in sight, but I don't know any environmentalist who thinks that people shouldn't be able to go into public lands and streams. I'm sure they're out there, but I also can positively guarantee that Kendall ain't one of 'em.

I'd be interested to see if any of the Ruby River Richie Riches are contributers to Montana Republican congressmen.  Anybody have any answers to this one?  Do some digging.

Also, the Sierra Club's logo has a guy wearing a backpack on it hiking.  I guess according to right wing argument, that guy must be the only person allowed into the wilderness.  Everyone else is staring at the gate?  Give me a break.  It's about impact, and feet are low impact, followed by small wheels.  But how about semi wheels? (that's 18 wheels, Jake)

We need to stop driving a wedge between the greens and the ORV crowd.  The big companies will screw it up for everybody.  Roads that get used to rape the landscape are the bad ones and I don't think they're going to be building any freeways into the Bob anytime soon.  We need to find a compromise on road rec.  It's just distracting us from the fight against the real bad guys.

My homebrah Elroy... (0.00 / 0)
... who rocks massive knowledge on the Stream Access Tip, tells me some brain-tweekin cheet about one of the hard-core stream access Republibrahs.

Word on the river is that Verdell "Jackass" Jackson (R-Cattlesmell) owns over 15 acres of some crucial river frontage digs up near Noxon. No wonder homebrah's makin such a fuss about Avista Corps, water rights, and the Noxon dam at front and center in the legislature... On the way-less-reliable-rumor tip, my homebrah Elroy speculates... speculates that homes has invested some mulla into Thompson River Lumber --whos snakin on some downriver access, makin a fuss. Peas in a pod broseph.

I am not a river shredder, so my carving has come to a stop... My sense of humor is going too.  Seriously, I'm not trying to be funny brah; cause it's not funny. At all. Seriously. I have been crying and hitting the cron like it's Julia Mancuso's rear. Sorry brahs, just had to let the one out. Gott go rub one brosephs.

Payce.
