(Remember: wasn't it Rehberg's campaign that lodged a complaint against a Democratic candidate for using a uniform on a campaign website...? - promoted by Jay Stevens)
Dennis Rehberg's new campaign website, dennyrehberg.com, features a photo of him with a group of troops in uniform.
But this is against the military's rules regarding servicemembers and political campaigns.
A DOD directive on rules regarding servicemembers and political activities (http://www.military.com/military-report/rules-regarding-political-activities) reads:
"...members on active duty should not engage in partisan political activity" and "...members not on active duty should avoid inferences that their political activities imply or appear to imply official sponsorship, approval, or endorsement..."
Rehberg certainly doesn't seem to mind violating the military's rules or politicizing our troops.
