| The crew at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington sent a letter to Flathead County Clerk of Court, Peg Alison, asking for more information on the August 2009 boating accident involving Congressman Denny Rehberg and former State Senator Greg Barkus The sleuths at CREW suspect that Barkus and Rehberg did not tell the truth about the events of that night, probably because "Court documents reveal Sen. Barkus consumed multiple alcoholic beverages at a restaurant in the hours before the accident and had a blood alcohol content that was twice the legal limit nearly two hours after the crash. Nevertheless, following the accident, Rep. Rehberg asserted there was “absolutely” no indication Sen. Barkus was impaired" Stay tuned, there will be more to come. |
